A three-minute explainer that students can rewatch before an exam used to take an afternoon of recording and editing. With these four tools it takes about twenty minutes, and you never have to appear on camera unless you want to.

Always start with the script, never the tool

Every one of these tools turns text into video. The video is only as good as the script, so write it first in your assistant from Module 2, then paste it in.

Video script prompt

You are a [subject] teacher writing a narration script for a 3-minute explainer video for [level] students.

Topic: [topic].
Structure: hook (15s) → one core idea → worked example → common mistake → 15s recap with a question for students.
Rules:
- Spoken language, short sentences, no bullet points inside the narration.
- Around 380–420 words total (about 3 minutes at teaching pace).
- After each paragraph, add [VISUAL: ...] describing what should appear on screen.
- Do not invent statistics or references.

Those bracketed notes become your scene list. Every tool below builds better video when you tell it what should be on screen instead of letting it guess.

Structured lesson videos with narration, built like a deck

Vids feels like Slides with a timeline. You give it a topic or paste your script, it builds scenes with stock visuals, and you can narrate yourself or use a built-in AI voice. Easiest starting point if your school already uses Google.

    Open Vids and choose 'Help me create'

    Paste your script or a Docs link, and state the audience and length.

    Review the generated scene list

    Delete scenes you do not need. One idea per scene.

    Replace weak stock visuals

    Swap in your own diagram, screenshot or photo from Drive.

    Record or generate narration

    Read the script yourself for warmth, or pick an AI voice for speed.

    Turn on captions and export

    Share the link or download the MP4 for your LMS.

Best for
Short cinematic clips of things you cannot film: processes, history, abstractions

Flow generates video from a text description of a scene. Use it for the 5–10 second visuals that make a concept land — blood moving through a vessel, a volcano forming, a historical street scene — then drop those clips into your main video.

Prompt shape: subject + action + setting + camera + style. “A slow close-up of water droplets condensing on a cold glass, warm morning light, documentary style, no text.”

  • Keep clips short and use them as illustration, not narration.
  • Never use generated video as evidence of a real event — say on screen that it is an illustration.
  • Generate two or three variations; credits are limited so keep prompts specific.

A consistent human presenter, multilingual versions of the same lesson

HeyGen puts a realistic presenter on screen reading your script. Ideal when you want a face and voice without recording yourself, or when you need the same lesson in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

    Match the register to your learners; test one paragraph before generating the whole video.

    Paste the script only

    Remove your [VISUAL] notes — the avatar would read them aloud.

    Add pauses and emphasis

    Short sentences and commas control pacing better than long clauses.

    Translate for a second version

    Use its translate feature to produce a Bahasa Malaysia edition of the same video.

    Export and check pronunciation

    Fix subject terms and names by respelling them phonetically in the script.

InVideo takes a topic or full script and assembles a finished video: stock footage, voice-over, background music and captions. Then you edit by instruction — “make scene 3 shorter, change the voice, add subtitles in Malay” — instead of dragging clips on a timeline.

    Specify length, tone, and 'educational explainer for [level] students'.

    Expect roughly 70% usable. Do not fix details yet.

Captions, accessibility and quality control

  • <strong>Always caption.</strong> Students watch on phones, in noisy rooms, and some need captions to follow at all.
  • <strong>Read the captions once.</strong> AI transcription mangles subject terminology and local names.
  • <strong>Check every on-screen number and label</strong> before sharing — generated visuals invent text happily.
  • <strong>Keep it under four minutes.</strong> Two focused videos beat one long one for revision.
  • <strong>State that AI was used</strong> in the video description, and that you verified the content.

Do not put student faces or names into these tools

Avatars, voice cloning and uploads on free tiers are not a safe place for identifiable learner data. Use your own voice or a stock avatar, and generic examples.
