Generative AI for Effective Teaching and Learning
Trainer: Dr Chuah Kee Man (FELC, UNIMAS - kmchuah@unimas.my)
Facilitator: Mr Faidz Felani Majeri (FELC, UNIMAS - mffelani@unimas.my)
The one rule behind everything
You stay the teacher in charge.
AI may help you draft, explain, design and summarise. It may never be the one who decides what is true, what is fair to assess, or what goes out under your name to students and parents. The AI is a fast, forgetful assistant who has never met your learners.
Used this way, AI does not replace professional judgement. It removes the blank page, the retyping and the hour lost formatting a worksheet. What used to be a whole evening becomes a draft you review and improve.
